Honestly, I think you are being a bit harsh on Bruce… particularly since most of this has only been during the Morrison run (and even then only the recent few issues).
Read some of the Gotham Knight series, Robin (Tim) series, and Nightwing series… he’s a lot better father in them. He cares, looks out, and admits (in his own way) his love...
